سورج کی روشنی سنہری راستے پر پھیل رہی تھی، مگر جوں جوں میں آگے بڑھ رہا تھا، جزیرہ پہلے جیسا نہیں رہا تھا۔ پہاڑ کے اندر کا راستہ کسی زندہ چیز کی سانسوں کی طرح تھر تھرا رہا تھا۔
ہوا بوجھل تھی۔ خاموشی غیر فطری۔

پھر اچانک… زمین ہلنے لگی۔

پہاڑ کی دیواروں پر بنے نقش جیسے زندہ ہو گئے۔ وہ حرکت کرنے لگے، آپس میں جڑنے لگے اور نئی شکلیں بنانے لگے۔ ایک دروازہ نمودار ہوا… ایسا دروازہ جس پر میرا اپنا نام لکھا تھا۔


“یہ آخری مرحلہ نہیں…
لیکن اس کا دروازہ ضرور ہے۔”

آواز نایلا کی تھی۔

میں پلٹا—
نایلا میرے پیچھے کھڑی تھی، مگر پہلی بار اس کی آنکھیں انسانی نہیں لگ رہی تھیں۔
وہ چمک رہی تھیں… ایک ایسی نیلی روشنی سے جو کسی انسان میں نہیں ہو سکتی۔

میں نے لرزتی آواز میں پوچھا:
“تم… کیا ہو؟”

اس نے دھیرے سے کہا:
“میں کسی جسم کی نہیں… کسی ذہن کی پیداوار ہوں۔
میں اس جزیرے کی رہنما ہوں۔
لیکن اصل امتحان وہ ہے جس کا سامنا تم نے آج تک نہیں کیا۔”

پہاڑ کا دروازہ خود بخود کھلا۔

اور اندر…
ایک بڑا آئینہ کھڑا تھا۔

میں نے قریب جا کر دیکھا—
یہ عام آئینہ نہیں تھا۔
اس کے اندر میرا ماضی، میرا حال، اور میری رکی ہوئی زندگی چل رہی تھی۔

پھر…
آئینے میں ایک نئی تصویر اُبھری۔

ایک لڑکا۔
میں اسے پہچانتا تھا۔

ارحم۔
میرا دوست… یا شاید دشمن۔

وہ لڑکا جس نے مجھے دھوکہ دیا تھا۔
جس کی وجہ سے میری زندگی بکھری تھی۔
جس نے چھین لیا تھا وہ سب… جو میرے لیے اہم تھا۔

وہ اچانک آئینے سے باہر نکل آیا۔

“تو تم بھی یہاں آ گئے؟”
اس نے طنزیہ ہنسی سے کہا۔

اور یہ… میری زندگی کا سب سے خطرناک مرحلہ تھا۔
