آسمان لال شعلوں سے بھر گیا تھا۔
درخت چیخوں جیسی آوازیں نکال رہے تھے۔

ارحم میرے سامنے کھڑا تھا،
آنکھوں میں ایسی کڑواہٹ جیسے برسوں کی قید۔


“تم نے مجھے کبھی معاف نہیں کیا،”
وہ بولا، “اسی لیے تمہاری روح قید ہے۔”

میں نے گہری سانس لی۔
“تم نے مجھ سے دھوکہ کیا تھا…”
میرے حلق سے بھاری آواز نکلی۔


“ہاں کیا تھا،” ارحم نے کہا،
“اور تم نے کبھی قبول نہیں کیا کہ اس دھوکے نے تمہیں مضبوط بنایا۔
تم خود کو کمزور سمجھتے رہے۔
اسی کمزوری نے تمہیں اس جزیرے میں لایا ہے۔”

یہ الفاظ میرے دل پر چوٹ کر رہے تھے۔

پہاڑ میں دراڑیں بڑھنے لگیں۔
سمندر کا پانی سیاہ ہو گیا۔
جزیرہ دم توڑ رہا تھا۔


نایلا آگے آئی۔
“وقت بہت کم ہے۔
تمہارے پاس دو ہی راستے ہیں:

1️⃣ یا تو ماضی کو معاف کر دو،
2️⃣ یا ہمیشہ کے لیے اسی جزیرے کا حصہ بن جاؤ۔”


ارحم نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑا۔
“میں حقیقت میں نہیں ہوں—
میں تمہارے اندر کا زخم ہوں۔
اگر تم مجھے آزاد نہیں کرو گے…
تو خود کبھی آزاد نہیں ہو گے۔”

میری آنکھوں میں آنسو آگئے۔
سالوں کا بوجھ دل پر بیٹھ گیا۔

میں نے لرزتے ہوئے کہا:

“…میں تمہیں معاف کرتا ہوں۔
نہ تمہیں،
بلکہ اپنے آپ کو بھی۔”

ایک لمحے میں…
پورا جزیرہ رک گیا۔

آسمان صاف ہوگیا۔
پہاڑ ٹھہر گئے۔
سمندر نیلا ہوگیا۔

ارحم کی آنکھوں میں سکون اُترا۔
اس کا جسم سنہری روشنی میں بدلنے لگا۔

“اب تم آزاد ہو…”
اس نے دھیرے سے کہا،
“اور میں بھی۔”

وہ روشنی بن کر ختم ہوگیا۔


جزیرے پر پہلی بار…
خاموشی تھی۔
پاکیزہ، مکمل اور روشن۔

نایلا میرے پاس آئی:
“ایک آخری سچ باقی ہے…
اور وہ اس جزیرے کا نہیں…
تمہاری اپنی اصل دنیا کا ہے۔”

میں نے جانے کے لیے قدم بڑھایا۔


اور یہی…

The island was exploding.
The sky was filled with red flames.
Arham stood before me,
His eyes filled with bitterness like years of imprisonment.

“You never forgave me,”
He said, “That’s why your soul is imprisoned.”
I took a deep breath.

“You betrayed me…”
A heavy voice came out of my throat.

“Yes, it was,” Arham said,
“And you never accepted that this betrayal made you strong.
You kept thinking of yourself as weak.
That weakness brought you to this island.”

These words were hurting my heart.

Cracks began to grow in the mountain.
The water in the ocean turned black.
The island was dying.

Naila came forward.
“Time is very short.
You have only two options:

1️⃣ Either forgive the past,
2️⃣ Or become a part of this island forever.”

Arham took my hand.

“I am not real—
I am a wound inside you.

If you don’t free me…
You will never be free yourself.”

Tears welled up in my eyes.
The burden of years settled on my heart.

I said tremblingly:
“I forgive you.
Not you,
but myself.”

In an instant…
the entire island stopped.
The sky cleared.
The mountains stood still.
The sea turned blue.
Peace descended on Arham’s eyes.

His body began to transform into a golden light.
“Now you are free…”

He said slowly,
“And so am I.”

It became light and disappeared.

For the first time on the island…
There was silence.

Pure, complete, and bright.

Nayla came to me:

I took a step to leave.
